The FKH 2020 Count Team

Luis Gles and Mariah Hryniewich will lead counts during FKH 2020.
Talented hawkwatchers return to FKH during the 2020 fall migration season at Curry Hammock and Long Key State Parks. Our lead counter this year is Luis Gles, who has returned to the project for the third consecutive year. Luis is from Colombia and resides in Miami, where he has gained tremendous experience with the regional avifauna, and with migrants as a volunteer at the Cape Florida Banding Station in Key Biscayne. Joining him at the watch this year is Mariah Hryniewich, an avid naturalist from Port Charlotte who is passionate about Florida and has earned her stripes while birding the Gulf coast and traveling throughout the country.
Luis and Mariah will be joined by Mark Hedden and Ellen Westbrook from Florida Keys Audubon Society, and Kevin Welsh.

Mariah scans towards the west, joined by Krystal Vineyard, ranger at Long Key SP.
Happy to see FKH back out on the platform!
